A Stone County Man is being moved back to Greene County jail in preparation for a new murder trial.
Zachary Stewart was convicted in the murder of David Dulin in 2006. But his attorney and family maintained someone else committed the crime.
The Missouri Supreme Court ruled there is enough evidence that came out after the conviction to warrant a new trial for Stewart.
Stewart is still held on the Murder Charge and is waiting for Newton County Judge Timothy Perigo to set a new trial date. Perigo was appointed to the case on a Change of Judge request.
Stone County Prosecutor Matt Selby tells KSPR the $500,000 bond set for Stewart previously will still apply until his new trial.
